Visual Foxpro 9.0 has an enhanced Report Designer that requires the files REPORTOUTPUT.APP, REPORTPREVIEW.APP and REPORTBUILDER.APP. These files are included in our installations and can be found in the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VFP, along with the other Visual Foxpro Runtime Files. If another Visual Foxpro application is installed on your system that uses an older version of Visual Foxpro, these files may not be included with the runtime files of that application.

If the older runtime files are placed in a different folder, you may need to extract the current runtime files to that folder. The folder containing the older runtime files may be accessed before the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\VFP folder and will cause an error in the newer Visual Foxpro reports.  You might check the Windows\System32 folder for the older runtime files.

If you are receiving the error ‘VARIABLE _REPORTOUTPUT IS NOT FOUND’, do a search for the file VFP9R.DLL. This is a Visual Foxpro 9.0 runtime file. If that file exists in a folder, the files REPORTOUTPUT.APP, REPORTPREVIEW.APP and REPORTBUILDER.APP should be there also.
