Conversion programs will need to be run to retrieve some data from the Foxpro 2.6 data files. Most files will be updated using the SYSTEM UPDATE; however, the following programs may need to be run to retrieve data from the Foxpro 2.6 programs.

Prior to running any of the programs below, please select the correct data location (System Variables Form), Run the System (System menu) and Run Index Data Files (System menu).

The programs can be executed by double-clicking on the program file (using Windows Explorer). The program names are in RED.

Vendor File:

Conversion programs are located in PROGRAM FILES/SOFTWORKS/GPI

When converting from Foxpro 2.6, run GETSUPLY.EXE in the program folder to convert the
Supplier File (SUPLY.DBF) to the current Vendor File (NAME.DBF).

IF NAME.DBF (Mailing List) was used in Foxpro 2.6, run GETNAME.EXE in the program folder. This program will move the first name and last name fields to the CONTACT field.

Vehicle Master File/Fluid File/Job File:

Conversion programs are located in PROGRAM FILES/SOFTWORKS/FLEET

When converting from Foxpro 2.6, run GETVHIST.EXE in the program folder to retrieve the information in VEMHST.DBF. This is now stored in the Vehicle Master File.

When converting from Foxpro 2.6, run GETFLUID.EXE in the program folder to retreive the fluid entries from VEMFLD.DBF. The new Fluid file is VFLUID.DBF.

When converting from Foxpro 2.6, run GETJOB.EXE in the program folder to retreive the job entries from VEM.DBF. The new job files are VJOB.DBF, VJOBPART.DBF, VJOBLAB.DBF, and VJOBOUT.DBF.

Payroll Master File/Payroll Transaction File:

Conversion programs are located in PROGRAM FILES/SOFTWORKS/PAYROLL

If running Foxpro 2.6 Payroll Plus-Run:

GETPAYM.EXE will retrieve records from Paymast. Payhist will also be created from this file.

No conversion program is necessary for Transaction file.

If running Foxpro 2.6 Standard Payroll-Run:

GETFMAST9.EXE will retrieve records from Fmast9 (Standard Payroll). Payhist will also be created from this file.

GETPAYDT.EXE will create the transaction file (Payper.dbf and Paydet.dbf) from Fmaster9 (Standard Payroll).

A/R Master File/Transaction File:

Conversion program is located in PROGRAM FILES/SOFTWORKS/INVOICE

When converting from Foxpro 2.6, run GETFOX26.EXE in the program folder. This program will

append records from TOWN (Township Master File-old A/R Master File ) to TOWNR (new A/R Master File). It will also retrievepayments from TTRAN as the Payments are stored in a seperate file (TTRANPAY) in Visual. The payments will then be removed from TTRAN.

Response Log File:

Conversion program is located in PROGRAM FILES/SOFTWORKS/LOG When converting from Foxpro 2.6, run GETZHIST.EXE in the program folder. This program will append records from the History File.

Government Accounting System Transaction Files:

Conversion program is located in PROGRAM FILES/SOFTWORKS/ACCOUNT

When converting from Foxpro 2.6, run GETODBF.EXE
in the program folder. This program will assign record numbers (new field) to
the P.O. Detail and Invoice Detail records, linking them to the P.O. File and
the Invoice File respectively. This program will also clear the Previous Year
Files. Next run GETPAST.EXE
in the program folder. This program will retrieve past transactions (previous
year files) for each year. Run the program for all years to be retrieved.
