Softworks, Inc. offers free telephone support for 30 days after purchase date. On site support, custom modifications, and additional support is available at our current rates. Training seminars are currently held in Ohio, Indiana, and Kentucky. Please see our Calendar for an updated list of training seminars. An optional Maintenance Agreement provides for low cost updates as well as decreased costs for custom modifications and support after 30 days. Training seminars are offered free to two employees in your office with a purchase of the Maintenance Agreement.
Product Life Cycle Definition:
Updates to the Current Software version are available for Maintenance Agreement customers each year FREE OF CHARGE. The current version of the Public Government Software is Visual Foxpro Version 9.0 Service Pack 2. This version was a FREE upgrade from the Visual Foxpro Version 7.0 (released 2003) for customers with a continuous Maintenance Agreement. The previous version (Foxpro 2.6A) was released in the late 1990s and is still in use in many offices.
Updates to the Foxpro 2.6 programs are no longer offered. Softworks, Inc. will continue to support this version as long as the operating systems will run the software. There is an upgrade fee for the Visual systems as the programs had to be completely rewritten. After upgrading to the Visual systems, future releases of more current Visual programs will be provided at no charge to Maintenance Agreement customers.
Upgrade fees are required only when a complete rewrite of the programs is required. The upgrade fee is much less than the purchase price and is available only to customers with a continuous Maintenance Agreement. If an UPGRADE is offered within two years of an original purchase, the upgrade is free for customers with an active maintenance agreement.

The annual fee for the Basic Plan is $1195.00 per site.On-site support is not included in the Basic Plan, but will be provided as follows:

Additional Support Options:
In addition to the Basic Plan, the following support options are available with the purchase of the Basic Plan:
1) Increments of four hours of support time (telephone/programming/ telecommunications/on-site) can be purchased with the Basic Plan. The cost of each 4 hour increment is $360.00. ($90.00/hour)
2) Increments of ten hours of support time (telephone/programming/ telecommunications/on-site) can be purchased with the Basic Plan. The cost of each 10 hour increment is $850.00. ($85.00/hour)
Travel fees and travel expenses as described in the Basic Plan are in effect.
** Purchase of additional support time is not required to receive additional support; however, it will assure your office will get the support time that is needed. Substantial savings can be realized by your office with the purchase of additional support time and Softworks, Inc. will be better able to schedule resources if we know the support requirements of our customers.
Additional support options may ONLY be purchased with the Basic Plan.
Data Conversions:
All Data Conversions will be charged at the standard Maintenance Agreement Rate. (See Above)
Terms:
Softworks, Inc. remains at no fault to any system network crashes, bad hard drive sectors, or power surges that may cause corruption to files.
All backup routines are the sole responsibility of the customer.
Customer Requests/Modification of Software should be submitted to Softworks, Inc. by FAX, MAIL, or E-MAIL. Softworks, Inc. will provide the customer with a quote and expected date of completion as soon as possible after receipt of a WRITTEN request.
Program Upgrades:
Program upgrades will be available at www.softworks.org for all customers with a current Maintenance Agreement. One CD-ROM update per year can be received by request. Additional CD-ROM updates will be sent for a $25 fee.
Training Seminars:
Training seminars will consist of one day sessions with complimentary lunch.
The above Maintenance Agreement pertains to a single department and location, with a maximum of three workstations per module at that single department and location.
Additional workstations at the original location, or additional workstations telecommunicating into a server from separate locations, will be addressed on an individual customer basis.
A continuous Maintenance Agreement is required to take advantage of upgrade and new purchase discounts.
